“MRS, together with Yuelushan(阅路山) and the participants, launched the “Clean Water, Green Hills, Protecting the Environment” initiative at Yanu Lake in Sichuan, China.

This initiative is simple yet sincere—a small contribution towards protecting the green mountains and clear waters. ”

As MRS packraft gently glided across the calm surface of the lake, we quietly began a winter dialogue with the mountains and water.

However, at the entrance and winding bends of Yanu Lake, everyone noticed a large amount of plastic fragments, used water bottles, and plastic bags scattered carelessly, disturbing the lake’s original tranquility and beauty.

By the end of the event, we had collected nearly 150 KGS of trash.

Some may ask, what’s meaning of such actions? In fact, the team’s original intention may have simply been to find relaxation in picking up trash, without any grand ambition to change everything. But we realized that when more people see and get involved, the seed of nature conservation will quietly take root in their hearts. This intention, perhaps, is more important than anything else.

This Clean Water, Green Hills initiative is just a warm encounter between us and nature. It not only made the lake cleaner but also conveyed a belief—making the protection of nature an outdoor habit.

Our journey to Yanu Lake is also a step in the “MRS Protecting Nature” initiative. Perhaps every small effort will be rewarded by nature, bringing us even more beauty in return.
