Experience Whitewater with MRS Packraft in Slalom Rapids Park

On 1st May, 2025, Du Dao organized an open-day event at Slalom Rapids Park in Beijing, guiding both new and experienced participants through a packraft whitewater experience. This rare opportunity allowed them to train on an Olympic-level slalom course, the same whitewater circuit used in competitive events.

Growing Community & Expertise

Community events across regions have been promoting the packraft movement, with a growing emphasis on professionalism and safety-centric activities. Through advanced programs like training courses certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA), participants learn to explore rivers, understand their dynamics, and develop essential safety skills.

These efforts aim to ensure the sustainable growth of the MRS packrafting community while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

The ACA, founded in 1880, is a globally recognized authority in paddle sports education. As of 2025, ACA has certified over a dozen packraft instructors in China, including several MRS packraft coaches. Du Dao’s founder is one of them.

To standardize and promote packrafting, MRS distributors and local communities are launching training camps, introducing professional certification systems, and accelerating the development of China’s packraft market through annual “Packraft Leagues.”
