MRS Joins the 2025 National Whitewater Course Race, Bringing the Thrill of Packrafting to the Public
In October 2025, the National Whitewater Course Race was successfully held at the Slalom Rapids Park of Beijing Olympic Water Park — a venue that once hosted the kayak slalom events of the 2008 Olympic Games and produced four gold medals. After a full-scale renovation, the course was opened to the public for the first time, attracting nearly a hundred competitors from across the country.

The race featured both single-raft and four-person raft categories, including speed runs and head-to-head knockout formats. On the 300-meter rapid course, competitors paddled MRS Viking self-bailing packrafts, which earned high praise for their excellent stability and drainage performance. MRS also showcased a range of whitewater and flatwater models on-site, offering participants hands-on test rides.

As an event partner, MRS plans to continue supporting various water sports competitions in the future, promoting packrafting from a niche sport to a popular outdoor activity — allowing more people to experience the excitement and freedom of lightweight rafting.
