Deep in the backcountry of Shangri-La, whitewater enthusiasts are converging on the @ZhuangyouOutdoorsGTO cabin, watching films, hanging out, climbing, and rafting. It’s a 4-day, 3-night whitewater carnival.

This is the ultimate retreat for the paddling community—a place to hang out and share the stoke for all things outdoors.

Here, you can take it easy. Zone out under the walnut trees—just watch your head when the mountain breeze knocks a few loose!

Or you can crank up the adrenaline: hit the Zhubaluo River, chase the rapids, and yell your lungs out as you unlock the ultimate whitewater paradise.

Out on the racecourse, a 14-year-old shredded the packrafting challenge solo for his second year in a row, styling his way through the rapids to punch his ticket to the finals.

Meanwhile, nearly 40 total beginners bravely took the plunge. One first-timer even shocked the crowd by taking 2nd place in the women’s division!

Back at camp, locals from Xiaruo Township dish out authentic, home-cooked meals. It’s the kind of hearty, rustic comfort food that just hits the spot after a long day on the water. When the sun drops and the bonfire gets blazing, the life-of-the-party types hit the dance floor, while the chill crowd kicks back around the fire to swap stories and laughs.
